Ingham Regional Assisted Living is an affiliate of Ingham Regional Medical Center and is also a McLaren Health Care affiliate. When assisted living residents become ill or injured, our medical staff has, at its immediate disposal, all the resources of this major medical facility. Ingham Regional Medical Center is licensed for 447 beds, conveniently located on two area campuses. Its resources include a wealth of knowledge and experience from over 3,000 employees, 700 physicians, and 1200 enthusiastic volunteers. Special Honors and Distinctions

Ingham Regional Medical Center has been recognized nationally for its outstanding cardiac programs. Historically, both mid-Michigan's first cardiac catheterization and its first open heart surgery were preformed at Ingham Regional Medical Center in the mid 1960's. To date, it has performed well over 12,000 open-heart procedures, with a success rate that is one of the highest in the country. In addition, four cardiac catheterization laboratories perform about 6,000 procedures a year, including:

• Electrophysiology Studies

• Implantation of Automatic Defibrillators

• Transluminal Extration Catheterizations

Ingham Regional Medical Center also has one of the leading success rates in joint reconstruction and total joint replacements. It has treated over 50,000 patients requiring these procedures.

Of special interest to seniors is the center's Medical Gerospsychatric Program. It is dedicated to the medical and mental health of adults aged 55 and over. Along with specific pain and illness treatment, the program helps seniors deal with depression, temporary emotional changes, grief and loss.
